When was the last time you received a card in the mail or the last time you looked at the price of a card? How about telling someone you are thinking of them or wishing them a happy holiday with a post card? We can make post cards out of scraps with our sewing machines and I bet these cards do not get tossed in the trash.
We will start out with beautiful batik fabrics and some of the decorative stitches on our sewing machines to make a crazy patch postcard front. No two will look the same and each one will be a work of art. Then we will make greeting cards by using simple images and scribble stitching.
Your cards will be treasured when they are received. The recipients will only see your beautiful work and not know that it all came from your scraps.
What You'll Need
Extension table or some sort of flatbed
Extra sewing needles
Sewing thread (various colors)
Rotary cutter
Small very sharp scissors for detailed cutting
Stick pins or fabric clips
Any notions you don't have can be purchased in-store!
