Fold Up Your Logs Class

Have you always wanted to make a log cabin quilt and just have not started yet? Or are you an experienced log cabineer?

This table topper or wall hanging puts a bit of a spin on the log cabin blocks. It is a folded log cabin. We will add our logs to a foundation piece and build our log cabins. Add a special stripe fabric with mitered corners to your blocks to frame your block and you will have a truly unique piece. Completing this project will be fun using a decorative stitch from your machine to add a little quilting.

This project looks so much harder than it actually is and the results are always beautiful.

What You'll Need

• Machine in good working order

• Extension table or some sort of flatbed

• Extra sewing needles

• Sewing thread (various colors)

• Rotary cutter

• Small very sharp scissors for detailed cutting

• Stick pins or fabric clips

• Erasable fabric marker
