RETURNS:
You have 10 days from the time that you receive the shipment (tracked through shipping carrier) to return the products you have purchased. If within the 10 days you are not satisfied, you may send your product back through our return policy guidelines that are explained further in this section. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs of the product being shipped back to our store located in Madison, Wisconsin. The item that you are returning must be in original condition. This means the product must be fully operating to its maximum ability and MUST be in original packaging. It must be in a “resale condition”. Any product sent back that has cosmetic or other damage, will be denied and no refund will be issued. If the item that you are returning is received by us and does not meet our criteria of "resale condition," we will not issue any credit. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
Once the order is placed and shipped the order should be accepted by the addressee. If the package is refused the customer will be liable for any return fee charged by the carrier. The carriers use the same service to return a refused package as it was originally shipped and charge accordingly.
Items we do not accept returns on:
Any CD/Software that is opened from its packaging
If the product packaging is missing.
If some parts of the product is missing.
If the product has been subject to any usage not recommended by the manufacturer.
If there are any signs of damage to the product.
M&R Sewing may credit a partial refund depending on the condition of the returned item.
A 15% restocking fee may apply if the customer returns the products outside of our return policy within 10 days of receiving the order.


How do I return an item?
Follow the steps below to return your item(s) correctly to ensure you receive credit.
1) Read the Return Policy carefully make sure your item is qualified to be returned.
2) Package your item in its “resale condition”
3) Include in the package a copy of the original invoice received from M&R Sewing and Vacuum with the items circled that you wish to return.
4) COMPLETELY FILL OUT our return form and include it in the package. (We only accepts returns with the return form filled out completely)
Also, you must clearly label your order number somewhere on the outside of the package. You MUST SHIP OUT YOUR ITEM by the 10th calendar day of receiving your package from M&R Sewing and Vacuum in order to be able to receive a credit. Send your package to M&R Sewing and Vacuum via a traceable shipping carrier such as UPS, FEDEX, or the United States Postal Service (delivery confirmation). M&R Sewing and Vacuum is not responsible for return items lost by the shipping carrier.

After we receive the package and everything is in compliance with the Return Policy, your credit card will be credited for item amount less shipping and handling fees. No refund will be issued if the product is damaged or is missing a component or if it is special ordered. You will receive a credit on credit card within 10 business days of M&R Sewing and Vacuum receiving your package. If you do not receive any notification from M&R Sewing and Vacuum customer service via email within two business days after the initial 10 business day period, please contact mrsewing@mrsewing.net immediately regarding your items returned.
Please keep a record of your tracking number. If you do not receive any notification on the status of your return, please email us with your tracking info.

IS MY INFORMATION SAFE?:
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share your personal information, such as name, email address, physical address, phone numbers, buying history, etc. We use the best SSL encryption and the latest technology to keep your shopping experience safe and secure and in fact all online orders are processed by an independent service, so we never have access to your credit card information when you purchase from our online store. If you wish to receive our promotional email or discount coupons, you must sign up for our newsletter at www.mrsewing.net (you will not automatically be signed up when purchasing from our online store).


DO I PAY SALES TAX?:
M&R Sewing and Vacuum customers do not pay sales tax, unless you are located in Wisconsin. Customers located in Wisconsin pay the sales tax rate of 5.5%. All tax exempt organizations within Wisconsin should place their order by phone at 608-278-4242.

 

CLASS/EVENT POLICY, ATTENDANCE & REGISTRATION INFORMATION


Registration:
To insure a seat is reserved for you at your selected class or event, we ask that you pre-register and pay the required fees prior to your attendance. Please note that even if you are attending a class or event that has no fee, you may still be required to reserve your seat, but this will be detailed in the individual class or event information.
By pre-registering you will aid the store and the instructor in making the necessary preparations so you have a fun and enjoyable learning experience. Space will be limited for most classes and events, so early registration is highly recommended.
You may register and pay for the class or event in our online store, by selecting the event, creating an account and proceeding through the checkout process. There are no taxes or shipping charges added to class or event registrations. If you would prefer, you can call or stop in the store to register as well. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express and PayPal in our online store.


Cancellation/Non-Attendance:
We reserve the right to cancel any class or event that does not fill the registration requirements set by the instructor. If there is not adequate enrollment and the class is cancelled, your fee will be refunded in full.
If the class or event is cancelled due to weather, or other unforeseen events, the class will be rescheduled. If the class is not rescheduled, your fee will be refunded in full.
If you are unable to attend, you must contact the store at least 5 days prior to the class or event to receive a full refund. Failure to notify us will result in the forfeiture of any and all fees paid. You may have someone attend in your place, but you must notify us of this change.


Classroom Policy:
In classes that require you to bring your sewing machine, embroidery machine or serger, you are required to know how to operate it and your machine should be in good working order before you come to class.
Food or drink are not allowed in the classroom. The only exception are bottles with screw on tops.
To be thoughtful to others, we ask that cell phones be turned off or turned to vibrate. If you need to take a call, we ask that you excuse yourself from the classroom.

Registered attendees, on class or event day, will receive a discount on notions, threads, feet, etc. and will be eligible for any special “day of” promotional pricing that may be offered.
