Beginner Sewing Classes

Dates -

Basics: 5/5 (10am - 1pm) or 5/30 (9am - 12pm)
Draw-String Bag: 5/19 (10am - 1pm) or 5/30 (12:30pm - 3:30pm
Adding Zippers: 6/2 (10am - 1pm) or 6/6 (9am - 12pm)
Adding Decorative Stitches: 6/6 (12:30pm - 3:30pm) or 6/16 (10am - 1pm)

Take each class or pick and choose depending on what you're looking to learn. Each class is for all levels of sewists.

In the Basics class you'll learn about the basics of sewing like cutting fabric and sewing straight lines. You'll end up with a beautiful travel tissue holder!

In the Draw-String Bag class, you'll make a draw-string backpack and learn how to work with cording.

In the Adding Zippers class, you'll learn about adding zippers to your projects. You'll end up with a beautiful zipper bag!

And finally in the Decorative Stitching class, you'll be making a mug caddy and learning how to add ruffles.

Each class has two dates. You may sign up for either or both if you want the extra practice. You may also bundle the classes and sign up for all of them.

Kits will be available to those who want them. Please select which option you would like before checking out. For those who want to bring their own materials, a supply list will be sent after checking out.

You'll want to bring a sewing machine in good working order, along with standard supplies like marking tools, pins or clips, and scissors or a rotary cutter. If you do not have some of the supplies, we do have a limited number at the store than can be used during class. We also have supplies available for purchase.

We provide free water, coffee, and soft drinks, but feel free to bring a snack or lunch if you would like.
